Devs vs Users is a free browser game from Mean Weasel: tower defense on a sprint
kanban. You can play as a guest. Optionally connect a Google account so the app can
read your Google Contacts (read-only) and put contact faces on in-game units.
Contacts are not sold or used for advertising.
What is Devs vs Users?
Most tower defense games invent a fantasy army. This one uses the fantasy you already
live. The left column is Production. The right swarm is users, stakeholders, and
“quick syncs.” Coffee is budget. A missed ticket is the lose condition. No signup.
Pick a difficulty. First sprint in under a minute.
Mean Weasel publishes the game. The marketing site is www.devsvsusers.com. The
playable game is app.devsvsusers.com. The same HTTPS game also ships as a Progressive
Web App and as store wrappers.
How to play
Hold the Production Server. If users reach it, revenue collapses. Interns drop coffee.
Collect it, hire the right stack, and keep the board green. QA slows rushes. DevOps
walls whales. Seniors hotfix the mid-lane panic. After your first sprint, map contacts
onto units so your real team becomes the cast.
Columns read left to right: Prod → Hotfix → backlog → Users. Requests spawn on the
right and march left. Budget snacks: Coffee +25, Dew +50, Red Bull +75, Peanut M&Ms
+100. Drops expire. Stagger Interns so cups do not overlap.

Developers: Intern (economy), Junior Dev (DPS), QA Engineer (control), DevOps Lead (tank), Senior Dev (burst), Dev-Side PM (crowd control).
Users: Tire Kicker (scout), SME Client (rush), Enterprise Client (boss), Customer-Side PM (coordinator).
Sprint survival
Budget is the real health bar. Two Interns staggered are worth more than a Senior you
cannot replace. Match the wave: QA for SME rushes, DevOps on the leaking lane, Juniors
in packs, Seniors mid-sprint, PM stuns when lanes converge. Intern difficulty is a
first laugh. Senior tightens density. CTO is the link you send after you bragged.

Is it free? Yes. Guest play needs no account. Ads are optional: personalized, non-personalized, or off.
Why connect Google? Only to personalize faces. Contacts are not sold and are not sent to the ad network.
